...on my contribution over at that nifty cavalcade of free fiction and other goodies, the Torquere Press Advent Calendar!

My December 7 offering, "Ding Dong Merrily," introduces three new characters, with three very different approaches to the traditional Gay Men's Chorus Holiday Concert.  One of them, Paulo, does Very Naughty Things to holiday songs.  So skitter over there, read, and enjoy!

...Torquere Press Birthday Candle!

That's right, I have a little 3000-word fic up to celebrate TP's fourth anniversary.  Find the
scrumptious-looking birthday cake and click on today's date (26) or follow this link to find a story about what happens to Vladi, Alexei's little brother from "The Hustler Prince."  He's fled Cuba for Barcelona, where he's a travel and tourism student.  He gets an unexpected opportunity to teach an outsider how to make an authentic Cuban mojito.  (Not smutty, more sensual, but I wouldn't call it worksafe, except for the mojito recipe.)

Once you've had a look, don't forget to look at all the other fun and fabulous offerings (there's been a new candle each day all month) and learn how to participate in Torquere's
Scavenger Hunt, whose winner gets a Sony eBook Reader (drools with lust).  You can also enter their Books for a Year contest; the prize there is (wait for it) a free paperback each month for a year.

Enjoy!!

A short while back [info]sydmcginley challenged folks to write seven ficlets in response to her contribution to Torquere Press's anniversary celebration (a Birthday Candle lit by a TP author daily all month).  The baby-fics were each to be inspired by a color from the venerable Hanky Code, and the prize is a quilt lovingly stitched by Tommy, hapless victim of the illustrious Dr. Fell of Syd's fabulous tale, "Pet Sitting."

So, I wrote, I sweated, I violated the word count limits, and (blushes, stammers) I won!

And you can read the other four finalists!!  Don't miss Angel's Gray Flannel, Gabrielle's Yellow, Morgan's Purple, and Meg's Mustard.

Watch for my own Birthday Candle later in the month!

Cheers,
Lee
